What LifeWorks Offers
Types of Sessions
At LifeWorks we offer two main tutoring options and a number of additional academic services:
Two Hour Group Sessions: With a 3:1 student-to-tutor ratio maximum, our group sessions provide students with the opportunity to receive individual attention within a supportive shared environment. At the beginning of each session, each student chooses what to work on based on what he or she needs help with most.
Cost: $90 per session
One Hour Private Sessions: Our private sessions offer students the opportunity to work one-on-one with one of our Academic Mentors on the subject or subjects of their choosing.
Cost: $100 per session
SAT Prep Classes: We offer six-week SAT intensives throughout the year designed to prepare students for specific test dates. Each course covers every section of the exam in detail, provides powerful test taking strategies, helps students improve their individual weaknesses and helps them build on their strengths. Cost includes all materials.
Cost: $500
LifeWorks Lecture Series: This unique class helps students prepare for what lies ahead in math by giving them an overview of the subject matter they will be taught in class that week. (Please inquire for details regarding times and subjects covered)
Cost: $65 per session
Test Proctoring: With the rise of online distance learning, many students now need certified third parties to proctor exams for them. Our Academic Mentors are currently registered with several distance learning programs already and can register with new programs if necessary.
Cost: $65 per hour
Consultations: While we are always available to communicate via email and over the phone, in some situations speaking in person is called for. Our one hour consultations provide this opportunity. We can meet with just parents or with parents and students together.
Cost: $100 per hour
